On holding a round table at the State Archives of the Brest Region

On February 26, 2025, a round table event was held at the State Archives of the Brest Region, which was attended by representatives of the district methodological association of librarians of educational institutions of the Leninsky district of Brest under the State Institution «Educational and Methodological Office of the Leninsky District of Brest».

The director of the archive, Anna Karapuzova, spoke about the history of the archive, the main areas of activity, the composition and content of the documents stored in it.

The participants of the event discussed the role of the archive and archival documents in the educational process, with special emphasis on documents from the period of the Great Patriotic War.

In addition, the guests were shown the film «On the 80th Anniversary of the Liberation of Brest from the Nazi Invaders», prepared by the Belarusian State Archive of Film, Photo, and Sound Documents.

During the tour of the archive, school librarians were able to get to know the profession of an archivist and the conditions for storing archival documents.
