The institution’s anniversary and the archivists’ victory in the spotlight: the Zonal State Archives in Molodechno took part in the filming of STV and MKTV

On February 11, the Zonal State Archives in Molodechno celebrated its 85th anniversary. The event served as a news item not only for regional media, but also for national media. On the eve of the holiday, the guests of the institution were a correspondent of the Molodechno newspaper, film crews of MKTV and STV. The journalists focused on the history of the institution, its achievements and successes.

In particular, at a meeting of the board of the Department of Archives and Records Management of the Ministry of Justice of the Republic of Belarus, the results of the work of state archival institutions for 2024 were summed up, the main areas of activity of Belarusian archivists for the coming period were determined, and the archival institutions that achieved the best results were noted. Thus, the Zonal State Archives in Molodechno became the leader among the zonal archives of the republic. The victory of the Molodechno archivists was not a «gift» for the holiday, but a well-deserved result of the efforts of a team of professionals who treat archival work with responsibility and reverence.

In an interview, the institution’s employees shared information about the tasks for 2025, talked about the specifics and importance of their work, and held master classes and excursions for media guests. The footage will form the basis of the TV shows «Central Region» on STV and «News: Local Time» on MKTV.

It was decided to hold a ceremonial event on the occasion of the archive’s anniversary later. An exhibition, a round table, and the release of the media project «Archival Bulletin» will be dedicated to the festive date in 2025.
