Presentation of the exhibition «Forest of Your Own Pradbachyts» for the 65th anniversary of actor Andrei Andreevich Dushechkin

On February 10, 2025, the Belarusian State Archives and Museum of Literature and Art (hereinafter referred to as BGAMLI) hosted an anniversary evening and presentation of the exhibition «Forest of Your Own Pradbachyts», prepared for the 65th anniversary of theater and film actor, teacher, writer, Honored Artist of the Republic of Belarus Andrei Andreevich Dushechkin.

The host of the event was the hero of the day himself – A.A. Dushechkin, who told many interesting stories related to the life of the Dushechkins – Klimova, performed excerpts from theatrical productions and read poems of his own composition.

The director of BGAMLI Elena Aleksandrovna Makarenko spoke with congratulations to the hero of the day. She noted that «this event is a tribute to the talent of A.A.Dushechkin and the memory of his mother, the famous actress, People’s Artist of the USSR A.I.Klimova».

The presentation was attended by numerous guests, friends and colleagues of the actor: Belarusian poet, prose writer, translator, Chairman of the Minsk city branch of the Union of Writers of Belarus Mikhail Pavlovich Pozdnyakov; artistic director of the Gorky National Academic Drama Theater (hereinafter referred to as the Gorky NADT) Sergei Mikhailovich Kovalchik; photographer, photojournalist, Honored Journalist of Belarus Yuri Sergeevich Ivanov; actors of the Gorky NADT – Honored Artist of Belarus Eduard Pavlovich Goryachy, Tatyana Leonidovna Bovkalova and Victoria Konstantinovna Kovalchik.

The exhibition was presented by the leading archivist of the archive-museum Tatyana Viktorovna Kekeleva, who introduced the guests to archival documents from the family fund of A.I.Klimova, A.V.Korsakovsky (Dushechkin), A.A.Dushechkin, stored in the BGAMLI.

A special place in the exhibition was occupied by archival materials dedicated to the People’s Artist of the USSR, actress of the National Academic Drama Theater named after M.Gorky Alexandra Ivanovna Klimova (mother of Andrei Andreevich). Among the most interesting exhibits are the manuscripts of Alexandra Ivanovna, her photographs in roles.

The exhibition «Forest to See» gives an opportunity to look into the rich world of the creative family of Dushechkin – Klimov, learn about unknown pages of their life and feel the atmosphere of theatrical art.
