Presentation of the exhibition by Alexey Martynov «Doll People» in BGAMLI

On January 13, 2025, the unique exhibition by Alexey Martynov «Doll People» was presented in the reading room of the Belarusian State Archive-Museum of Literature and Art (hereinafter referred to as BGAMLI).

Alexey Borisovich Martynov, a famous Belarusian artist and puppeteer, was born in 1957 in Gomel. He graduated from the Belarusian Theatre and Art Institute (now the Belarusian State Academy of Arts). Since 1984, he has been actively participating in domestic and foreign exhibitions.

The exhibition «Doll People» is not just a collection of dolls, but a whole world where each doll comes to life thanks to the artist’s skill and inspiration. Dolls are born from the tactile and visual sensations of the master, from pieces of fabric, leather, beads and buttons. The exhibition presentation was a real gift for regular visitors of the archive-museum and simply lovers of doll art. They were able not only to enjoy the beauty and skill of the dolls, but also to immerse themselves in the atmosphere of magic and childhood that the exhibition creates.

The exhibition «Doll People» will continue to delight our guests and will be available for viewing in the reading room of the BGAMLI.
