The «Archives for School» campaign at BGAMLI for students of the College of Information and Communication Technologies
On January 8, 2025, as part of the «Archives for School» campaign, students of the College of Information and Communication Technologies went on an excursion to the Belarusian State Archives-Museum of Literature and Art (hereinafter referred to as BGAMLI). The excursion became for students not only an opportunity to touch the rich cultural heritage of Belarus, but also to immerse themselves in the atmosphere of the ancient architecture of the building of the former Bernardine Church.
The participants of the excursion got acquainted with the modern functions of the archive-museum, and also learned about the valuable collections of documents and museum items stored in BGAMLI. In the reading room of the archive, they were able to get acquainted with the exhibitions «Mikhas Lynkov: to great praise» and «Belarusfilm: about children and for children».
Leading researcher of the Belarusian State Academy of Film and Literature D.S.Samokhvalov told the students about the life and creative path of Mikhas Lynkov, presenting rare documents and photographs from the archival funds. Special attention was paid to the exhibition «Belarusfilm: about children and for children», dedicated to the 100th anniversary of Belarusian cinema, where documents of feature, television, animated films (literary and director’s scripts, general estimates, albums of photo tests, minutes of artistic councils, etc.) are exhibited.
According to the students, the excursion to the Belarusian State Academy of Film and Literature was not only educational, but also allowed them to take a fresh look at the connection between history and modernity, as well as the importance of preserving cultural heritage in the digital age.
