On the round table «Document Management – Russian and Belarusian Experience»

On December 13, 2024, the All-Russian Research Institute of Document Science and Archival Affairs (VNIIDAD) and the Belarusian Research Institute of Document Science and Archival Affairs (BelNIIDAD) held an online round table «Document Management – Russian and Belarusian Experience». In addition to employees of scientific institutes, the round table was attended by representatives of other state archival institutions of the two countries, as well as other interested organizations.

The round table was prepared and held in accordance with the Protocol of Instructions following the results of a joint meeting of the boards of the Department of Archives and Records Management of the Ministry of Justice of the Republic of Belarus and the Federal Archival Agency of the Russian Federation, a professional meeting and bilateral negotiations of the heads of state archival institutions of Belarus and Russia (Veliky Novgorod, October 15-16, 2024).

The round table discussed a wide range of issues related to document management, including the development of the regulatory and methodological framework for office work, improvement of the terminology of archival affairs and office work, standardization of documentation of management activities in modern conditions.

The reports from BelNIIDAD at the round table were made by the director, candidate of historical sciences, associate professor A.E.Rybakov («Regulatory regulation of the creation, circulation and storage of documents in electronic form: status, problems, prospects for improvement»), research fellow of the department of document management V.A.Barbarchuk («Securing the features of document execution in electronic form in the state standard for the execution of organizational and administrative documentation: prospects for revising STB 6.38-2016»), junior research fellow of the department of document management A.A.Nedashkovskaya («Scientific and methodological developments of BelNIIDAD on document management issues»).

During the round table, discussions on the most pressing issues were held, in which, in addition to employees of scientific institutes, representatives of other state archival institutions of the two countries, as well as other interested organizations, took part. Upon completion of the work, the participants of the round table expressed gratitude to the organizers for the high level of its preparation and implementation.
