Opening of the joint exhibition of the Belarusian State Film and Photo Archive and the National Art Museum of the Republic of Belarus «Kudrevichy. Added Art»

On November 28, 2024, employees of the Belarusian State Film and Photo Archive (hereinafter referred to as BGAKFFD) took part in the grand opening of the exhibition «Kudrevichy. Added Art», which is a joint project of BGAKFFD and the National Art Museum. The grand opening took place at the National Art Museum of the Republic of Belarus. The exhibition is dedicated to the 140th anniversary of the birth of Vladimir Nikolaevich Kudrevich, Honored Artist of the BSSR.

The exhibition is dedicated to the work of the artist V.N. Kudrevich, his daughter, artist Raisa Kudrevich and son, actor Vladimir Kudrevich. The main subjects of V.N. Kudrevich’s work are connected with the beauty of Belarusian nature; in the 1930s, a new theme appeared in the master’s work – human labor.

Raisa Vladimirovna Kudrevich – Honored Artist of the BSSR, People’s Artist of Belarus, went down in history as a master of multi-figure composition, landscape and still life.

Vladimir Vladimirovich – Honored Artist of the BSSR, is the successor of his father’s work in the theater sphere, played in numerous theater productions, films, performing in radio plays.

To design the exhibition, photo documents from the photo collections of I.N. Berlin, I.I. Soloveichik, the Belarusian Theatre Society, the newspaper «Literature and Art», as well as a story from the newsreel «Soviet Belarus» about the opening of the exhibition of V.N. Kudrevich in Minsk in 1954 were provided from the funds of the BGAKFFD.

The exhibition is located in the main building of the National Art Museum of the Republic of Belarus from November 28, 2024 to January 13, 2025.
