About the participation of the Deputy Director of the National Archive of the Republic of Belarus in the presentation of a new publishing project
On November 14, 2024, the National Library of Belarus hosted the presentation of the publication «Sons of Bashkortostan in the Battles for Belarus», dedicated to the 80th anniversary of the liberation of Belarus from Nazi invaders and the 80th anniversary of the Great Victory.
The book was prepared by the publishing house «Belarus» together with the publishing house «Kitap» (Bashkortostan) on the material of archival and museum institutions of Belarus and Bashkortostan. It is dedicated to the bright memory of the natives of Bashkortostan, who during the Great Patriotic War fought on the territory of Belarus against Nazism: participated in defensive battles, made a significant contribution to the partisan movement, liberated the republic from the Nazi invaders.
The Head of the Republic of Bashkortostan Radiy Khabirov sent a greeting to the guests of the event, in which he thanked them for their great contribution to the preservation of historical truth, loyalty to the memory of the exploits of the older generation.
The presentation was attended by: Deputy Director General of the National Library of Belarus Viktor Przybytko, Deputy Minister of Information of the Republic of Belarus Denis Ezersky, Chairman of the Standing Committee of the House of Representatives of the National Assembly of the Republic of Belarus on International Affairs Sergei Rachkov, representative of the Republic of Bashkortostan at the Trade Mission of the Russian Federation in the Republic of Belarus Konstantin Klimin, Head of the Representative Office of Rossotrudnichestvo in the Republic of Belarus Yuri Makushin, Chairman of the Union of Writers of the Republic of Bashkortostan Aigiz Baymukhametov, First Deputy Chairman of the Union of Writers of Belarus Elena Stelmakh, head of the advertising department of the publishing house «Belarus» Angelika Sadovskaya.
Deputy Director of the National Archive of the Republic of Belarus, Candidate of Historical Sciences Svyatoslav Kulinok spoke about the work on the preparation of the publication and about the archival documents that were included in it. The speaker also noted the successful architectonics of the book.
