On the awarding of the joint project of Radio Mir National Branch (Representative Office) of MTRK Mir in Belarus and the Belarusian State Archive of Film, Photo, and Sound Documents

The joint project of Radio Mir National Branch (Representative Office) of MTRK Mir in Belarus and the Belarusian State Archive of Film, Photo, and Sound Documents received an award at the VIII International Festival «Radio Without Borders».

The special prize was awarded to the program «Voices of Victory» (author – Anna Ivanitskaya, with the participation of the leading archivist of the Department of Use of Documents and Information Elena Tretyak). The award ceremony took place in Kostroma, Russian Federation. The program «Voices of Victory» was chosen as the winner from 150 works sent to the competition.

«Voices of Victory» is a special project of Radio Mir, dedicated to the 80th anniversary of the liberation of Belarus from the Nazi invaders. The program cycle was aired in May 2024. The project makes extensive use of audio documents from the Belarusian State Film and Photo Archives, namely, the memories of veterans of the Great Patriotic War.

The Belarusian State Film and Photo Archives expresses its deep gratitude to the Mir radio project and its author Anna Ivanitskaya for the vivid popularization of the archive’s funds. Work on the project continues.
