Events within the framework of the republican project «Young Archivist» in the institution «Zonal State Archive in Zhlobin», dedicated to the day of creation of the archive (November 11, 1963)

On November 13, 2024, thematic lessons for 8th grade students of the GUO «Secondary School No. 7» were held in the institution «Zonal State Archive in Zhlobin». Zhlobina- participants of the pilot project «Young Archivist» dedicated to the day of the archive’s formation.

The students got acquainted with the history of the creation of the state archive, stored documents, areas of activity, achievements in work, innovations in archival business.
Young archivists were asked to go back in time, imagine how archivists worked at that time, go all the way from manual labor, first to mechanization, and then to computerization of basic processes. The guys got acquainted with the Internet resources that are used in their work, with a virtual tour of the archive created using new technologies.

The guys concluded that information technology facilitates the process of collecting, processing, accumulating, storing, searching and distributing information.
