Ceremonial meeting of the staff of the National Archives of the Republic of Belarus on the Day of the October Revolution

On November 6, 2024, a ceremonial meeting of the staff was held at the National Archives of the Republic of Belarus (hereinafter referred to as NARB), dedicated to the Day of the October Revolution.

NARB Director A.K.Demyanyuk congratulated colleagues on the holiday and spoke about the importance of preserving the historical memory of the events that in many ways became decisive in the process of creating Belarusian statehood.

Leading researcher of NARB, PhD in History, Associate Professor V.G.Mazets spoke about the historical background of the October Revolution and its assessments by various historical schools.

Deputy Director of NARB, PhD in History, S.V.Kulinok noted that those social guarantees (8-hour working day, the right to paid leave, free medicine and education, etc.), which have now become the basis of the social policy of our republic, were largely won as a result of the events of 1917.
