Participation of BGAKFFD in the opening of the joint exhibition «100 frames»

The exhibition «100 frames», organized jointly by the Belarusian State Archive of Film, Photo, and Sound Documents (hereinafter referred to as BGAKFFD) and the Belarusian State University of Culture and Arts (hereinafter referred to as BSUCA), dedicated to the centenary of Belarusian cinema and the opening of the Listapad film festival, became a significant event for all connoisseurs of national cinema. The exhibition presented unique photo documents from the BGAKFFD collections, shedding light on the rich and complex history of the development of Belarusian cinema. These are photographs of film crews, actors, taken during the filming of such films as «Alpine Ballad», «Girl Looking for Her Father», «Mikolka the Steam Engine», frames from the films «Forest Tale», «Kastus Kalinovsky».

The participation of BGAKFFD in the exhibition allowed to present the history of Belarusian cinema more fully and comprehensively, combining the visual component with documentary evidence, and became an important step in preserving and popularizing the cultural heritage of Belarus, emphasizing the importance of the work of archives. The exhibition became an excellent platform for getting acquainted with the history of Belarusian cinema, which was presented to the guests of the exhibition in all its diversity and uniqueness.

At the end, the guests of the exhibition were shown a film about the life and creative path of director V.Turov «Breath of Life».
