Events within the framework of the republican project «Archives for School» in the institution «Zonal State Archive in Zhlobin»

On October 30, 2024, in the institution «Zonal State Archive in Zhlobin» a thematic lesson «Our fellow countrymen during the Great Patriotic War» was held for 6th grade students of the State Educational Institution «Secondary School No. 13 of Zhlobin named after V.V. Guzov» within the framework of the republican project «Archives for School».

The children got acquainted with the history of the state archive, with the stored documents, as well as with documents of personal origin. Of particular interest was the exhibition «Your fellow countrymen are glorious in their feat.» Continuing the implementation of events dedicated to the 80th anniversary of the liberation of Belarus from the Nazi invaders, the children were shown the film «Liberation», prepared by the institution «Belarusian State Archive of Film, Photo, and Sound Documents».

The meeting ended with a sightseeing tour of the archive, during which the students got acquainted with the stored funds with interest, and learned in detail about ensuring the safety of archival documents.
