On October 4, 2024, the exhibition «Lived in the Archive» opened in the State Archive of the Vitebsk Region, dedicated to the Day of the Archivist

The materials presented at the exhibition demonstrate the history of the development of archival affairs in the Vitebsk region, which began with the creation of the Vitebsk Central Archive of Ancient Act Books, founded in 1852. Much attention is paid to documents covering the history of Soviet archival construction, the structure and organization of the Vitebsk archive at various stages of its existence, the activities of individual archivists, whose work was the key to the successful development of the archival industry not only in the Vitebsk region, but throughout the country.
