September 26 – Single Safety Day at BGAMLI and BGANTD

On September 26, 2024, a Single Safety Day was held at the Belarusian State Archives and Museum of Literature and Art (hereinafter referred to as BGAMLI) and the Belarusian State Archives of Scientific and Technical Documentation (hereinafter referred to as BGANTD).

The goal of the Single Safety Day is to train archival employees on the correct actions to take in case of fire and other emergency situations, as well as to provide first aid to victims. Each of us may find ourselves in an emergency situation, and not only our life and health, but also the lives of those around us will depend on our actions.

The heads of BGAMLI and BGANTD E.A. Makarenko and A.P. Kurakov addressed the archival employees with an opening speech.

The chief engineer of BGANTD V.A. Bogush conducted training on behavior in fire conditions and other emergency situations.

In accordance with the Mechanism for the implementation of the plan for the preparation and holding of the Unified Security Day in the Ministry of Justice, bodies and organizations of the Ministry of Justice, approved by the Minister of Justice of the Republic of Belarus E.I. Kovalenko on September 16, 2024, a staff training session on actions in emergency situations was held, aimed at increasing coherence, practicing practical skills, and the readiness of archive workers for emergency situations. In particular, skills for evacuation in case of fire, actions in other emergency and abnormal situations at the facility were practiced.
