On the first archival lesson in the National Historical Archives of Belarus in Grodno

On September 20, 2024, as part of the republican campaign «Archives for School» and the pilot project «Young Archivist», the first archival lesson «Archive – Storage of History» was held at the National Historical Archives of Belarus in Grodno for the purpose of familiarizing with the history of the archive and its functions in preserving documentary heritage for students of class 10 «A» of the legal focus «Young Prosecutor» of the State Educational Institution «Secondary School No.28 named after V.D.Sokolovsky of Grodno».

The lesson was held in the form of a lesson-excursion. The students became familiar with the basic definitions: archive, archivist and archival sources, as well as the history of the creation of the archive and the main areas of archival activity.
