Meeting with members of the memorial detachments of Post No.1 of the Hero City of Minsk in the National Archives of the Republic of Belarus
On September 19, 2024, as part of the «Archives for School» campaign, a meeting was held in the National Archives of the Republic of Belarus with members of the memorial detachment of Post No.1, which carries the Honorary Watch of Memory at the Eternal Flame on Victory Square. This time, the archive was visited by students from secondary schools No.68, No.120, No.144, No.186 of Minsk.
As part of the meeting, a tour of the archive was held for the children. Head of the Department of Personal Origin Funds I.V.Dorogush spoke about its history, the composition and features of storing documents, and the work of the archive in the field of publication and exhibition activities. During the tour, the students got acquainted with the photo documentary exhibitions of the archive: «The World Begins in Childhood», «Under the Sign of Quality», «The Republic – Partisan».
The students visited the archive of partisan formation funds, where they were given a talk on the history of the partisan movement and were introduced to the personal files of the command staff of partisan detachments and brigades, combat leaflets and other documents.
In the archive of personal origin funds, leading archivist T.I.Brileva presented documents from the personal archives of state, party and public figures, participants in the Great Patriotic War.
