Participation of BGAMLI in the presentation of the Collection of works by the classic of Belarusian literature Kuzma Chorny

On September 18, 2024, the director of the Belarusian State Archive-Museum of Literature and Art E.A.Makarenko took part in the presentation of the 2nd volume of the Collection of works by the classic of Belarusian literature Kuzma Chorny in 12 volumes, prepared by the Yanka Kupala Institute of Literary Studies of the Center for Research of Belarusian Culture, Language and Literature of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus.

The presentation was attended by scientists, writers, public figures and cultural figures. The moderator of the event was the project manager, head of the publications and textual criticism department of the Yanka Kupala Institute of Literary Studies E.A.Vasilevich.

The director of the Yanka Kupala Institute of Literary Studies, Doctor of Philology, Professor I.V.Saverchenko, writer, Honored Cultural Worker of the Republic of Belarus V.S.Lipsky, representatives of the National Library of Belarus and others addressed the participants of the event with a welcoming speech.

E.A.Makarenko congratulated colleagues on the publication of a new scientific edition of the Collection of Works of the classic of Belarusian literature Kuzma Chorny, which included the author’s works created in 1926-1931. She expressed words of gratitude and hope for joint cooperation in creating the next volume of the Collection.

As part of the presentation, the opening of the book exhibition «Belarusian World of Kuzma Chornag» took place.
