On September 17, the Day of National Unity, the Zonal State Archives in Glubokoe opened its doors to representatives of public associations and political parties of the Glubokoe District. A round table discussion entitled «September 17 – Day of Restoration of Historical Justice» was held in the reading room of the State Archives. The guests of honor at the event were the Chairperson of the Glubokoe District Council of Deputies, Vera Mikhailovna Telitsa, and the Chairperson of the District Branch of the Belarusian Party «Belaya Rus», Oleg Maryanovich Apetyonok.

The participants of the round table were greeted by the Acting Director of the Archives, Alina Cheslavovna Yurgel, who recalled the historical basis of the youngest state holiday and invited those present to watch the short film «Reunification», prepared by the Belarusian State Archive of Film, Photo, and Sound Documents.

During the event, tickets were presented to new members of the Belarusian Party «Belaya Rus» and members of the public association «Belarusian Republican Youth Union» in a solemn atmosphere.

The results of the round table were summed up by the chairman of the Glubokoe District Council V.M. Telitsa, who said: «National Unity Day is a holiday that marks the triumph of historical justice. 85 years ago, our people, divided into Western and Eastern Belarusians for almost 20 years, once again became a single nation. On September 17, 1939, a new page began in the history of our native Belarus, so National Unity Day for Belarusians is an important holiday filled with deep historical meaning.»
