Participation of BGAMLI in the Day of Belarusian Literature
On September 1, 2024, the Belarusian State Archive-Museum of Literature and Art (hereinafter referred to as BGAMLI) took part in events dedicated to the Day of Belarusian Literature in Ivatsevichi. The participants of the holiday and its guests were presented with the exhibition «People’s Poets of Belarus» from the BGAMLI collections.
The Day of Belarusian Literature is a symbol of strengthening spiritual values and teaches us to remember our origins, sincerely love our land and respect our ancestors. Leading archivist of BGAMLI Natalia Aleksandrovna Mizon spoke about the importance of archival documents in preserving the spiritual and cultural wealth of Belarus.
The «Word of the Poet» platform demonstrated new products of Belarusian book printing, and poems and songs performed by contemporary creators were heard. The participants of the holiday got acquainted with the archival documents of the classics of Belarusian literature with interest.
Ivatsevichi resident Lyudmila Pavlovna Kurach, who worked as a teacher of Belarusian language and literature all her life, shared her memories of her teacher at the Philological Faculty of BSU, Nil Gilevich, when visiting the archival exhibition.
