Patriotism lesson at Ozershchinskaya secondary school No. 1, Rechitsa district

On August 14, 2024, the Zonal State Archives in Rechitsa held an event on the topic of the Great Patriotic War at Ozershchinskaya secondary school No. 1, Rechitsa district. Archivists informed the pupils of the civil-patriotic camp «Heirs» about their archive and the composition of the documents. On the eve of the Day of the Air Force of Belarus (August 18), the children listened to the story and watched the presentation of the documents of the archive’s founder – the gunner-radio operator of the Great Patriotic War, honorary citizen of Rechitsa Nikolai Rodzanov. The meeting ended with a screening of the documentary film «Liberation» prepared by the Belarusian State Archive of Film, Photo and Sound Documents, thanks to which the students learned the history of the liberation of their native Gomel region.
