BSAMLA at the amateur art show-competition among republican archival institutions

On June 20, 2024, in the assembly hall of the State Educational Institution «Secondary School No. 27 of Minsk,» the Belarusian State Archive-Museum of Literature and Art (hereinafter referred to as BSAMLA) took part in a review-competition of amateur performances among republican archival institutions, dedicated to the 80th anniversary of the liberation of Belarus from German fascist invaders.

From BSAMLA in the category «Original genre (literary word)» the chief accountant Nina Vasilyevna Podrez and her granddaughter Alexandra Podrez performed with Anatoly Vertinsky’s poem «Requiem for the Skin Chatsvert». Their performance was dedicated to Nina Vasilievna Podrez’s father, Vasily Ilyich Marchuk, who bravely defended his country during the Great Patriotic War.

The event included a screening of the documentary film «Operation Bagration», created by the Belarusian State Archive of Film, Photo and Sound Documents.

BSAMLA expresses gratitude to the organizers for the opportunity to demonstrate their talents and join in the popularization of the archival industry. It was an amazing experience that inspired us to further creativity, research and discovery.

We hope that such events will continue to be held to show the rich history and culture of our country through talented archivists.

We thank everyone for the support provided to BSAMLA during the performance.
