The director of the institution «State Archive of the Gomel Region» took part in the event dedicated to the 80th anniversary of the liberation of Belarus from the Nazi invaders

On June 10, 2024, the director of the institution «State Archives of the Gomel Region» (hereinafter referred to as the State Archive) Andrei Nikolaevich Suschevich took part in an event dedicated to the 80th anniversary of the liberation of Belarus from the Nazi invaders on the basis of the institution of the State Educational Institution «Secondary School No.75 of Gomel».

Speaking to the participants of the event, Andrei Nikolaevich spoke about the project «Open Film Archive. We brought this day closer as best we could», which was prepared by the Belarusian State Archive of Film, Photo and Sound Documents, where the story of the liberation of the cities of Belarus is told in chronological order.

Before watching the documentary film «Liberation», we talked with schoolchildren about the events of the Great Patriotic War and the need to preserve historical memory. During the discussion, the director of the GAGom gave comprehensive answers to all the questions asked.
