In the Ivyevsky District Executive Committee, employees of the institution «Zonal State Archive in Lida» organized a screening of the film «Liberation»

05.23.2025 director of the institution «Zonal State Archive in Lida» Svirko S.G. took part in the meeting of the chairman of the Ivyevsky district executive committee, delegate of the All-Belarusian People’s Assembly Gents Igor Nikolaevich with employees of the district executive committee. At the event, held in the large hall of the Ivyevsky District Executive Committee, the results of the All-Belarusian People’s Assembly were presented to those present.

As part of the implementation of the project «Open Film Archive. We brought this day closer as best we could». For those present at the event, a screening of the documentary film «Liberation» was organized, prepared by BGAKFFD and dedicated to the 80th anniversary of the liberation of the Republic of Belarus from the Nazi invaders and the Victory of the Soviet people in the Great Patriotic War.

Director of the archive Svirko S.G. spoke to the audience before the start of the film screening, talking about the military operations of the Red Army, the partisans who participated in the liberation of Belarus, the heroism of the operators of front-line film groups, and home front workers who, at the cost of their lives, won the right to live under a peaceful sky in a free and independent country.
