Participation of employees of the National Historical Archive of Belarus in a scientific and practical conference

On May 23, 2023, employees of the department of research and publication activities of the National Historical Archive of Belarus took part in the III International Scientific and Practical Conference «Archival Dialogue. To the centenary of the first All-Belarusian Conference of Archivists», which was held by the National Archives of the Republic of Belarus (Minsk, Nezavisimosti Ave., 116).

The head of the department, Sergei Ryndin, in his report «Sources on the history of the First World War in the National Historical Archive of Belarus» revealed the information potential of the archive funds, which contain materials on the history of the First World War. 2024 marks 110 years since the start of this war, which also affected Belarusian lands.

Deputy head of the department Evgeniy Glinsky in the report «Verification of information from documents of the 17th-19th centuries. during the preparation of the publication «Armorial of the Belarusian Nobility», he spoke in detail about the methodology for processing the sources on the basis of which the publications of the named series are prepared.

The speeches of the employees of the Scientific Research Institute of Belarus, which are traditionally based on specific historical sources, aroused great interest among the conference participants.
