On the implementation of the republican action «Archives to School» in the Belarusian State Archive of Scientific and Technical Documentation

On May 23, 2024, as part of the republican action «Archives to School», the Belarusian State Archive of Scientific and Technical Documentation conducted an introductory tour for a student of the BNTU Branch «Minsk State Polytechnic College», who arrived for pre-graduation practice in the archive.

Pre-diploma practice is a mandatory part of the educational program of students. During pre-graduation practice, students become familiar with professional activities, master the specifics of work in their field, learn to apply theoretical knowledge in practice, and develop independent work and communication skills.

During the excursion, the archivist of the department of information and use of documents N.A.Gornostaev spoke about the history of BGANTD and its structure, the composition and features of document storage.

As part of the pre-graduate practice program, special attention was paid to ensuring the safety of documents, which the head of the department M.A.Mikhailova familiarized the student with Department for ensuring the safety and recording of documents. Maria Aleksandrovna consistently spoke about creating optimal conditions for storing documents and placing them in a storage facility, observing the procedure for issuing files and inventories from storage facilities, checking the availability and state of affairs, ensuring the safety of documents in emergency situations.
