On May 7, 2024, a meeting was held between the staff of the State Institution «National Archive of the Republic of Belarus» and the delegate of the VII All-Belarusian People’s Assembly, deputy of the House of Representatives of the National Assembly of the Republic of Belarus S.M. Klishevich.

Sergei Mikhailovich spoke about the legal status, composition, procedure for formation and powers of the All-Belarusian People’s Assembly, enshrined in the Constitution of the Republic of Belarus and the Law of the Republic of Belarus of February 7, 2023 No. 248-Z «On the All-Belarusian People’s Assembly», and also shared his impressions of that , how the first meeting of the Supreme Council as a constitutional body took place.

S.M. Klishevich paid special attention to the Concept of National Security, approved at the last meeting of the Supreme Council. He emphasized that significant attention in the National Security Concept is paid to the issues of preserving national identity, historical heritage and traditional values. In this regard, Sergei Mikhailovich noted the growing role of archives in preserving the historical memory of the Belarusian people.
