Employees of the state archive of public associations of the Gomel region took part in the opening of the exhibition «Front-line drawing»

On May 3, 2024, as part of events dedicated to Victory Day and the 80th anniversary of the liberation of Belarus from the Nazi invaders, employees of the institution «State Archive of Public Associations of the Gomel Region» took part in the opening of the exhibition «Front-line drawing», which took place in the southern gallery of the palace Rumyantsev and Paskevich.

The exhibition project is being implemented within the framework of cooperation between the palace and park ensemble and the Central Museum of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation (Moscow).

The exhibition presents digital copies of front-line drawings, the authors of which are famous Russian artists of the 20th century. Among the authors are People’s Artist of the USSR N. N. Zhukov (1908–1973), P. A. Krivonogov (1911–1967).

Front-line drawings cover the period from 1941 to 1945 and reflect the most diverse aspects of military life: front-line Moscow and besieged Leningrad, burning Stalingrad and destroyed Kursk, battles for the expulsion of the occupiers from the Soviet republics, the liberation of Europe and the fall of Berlin.
