Participation of E.A. Stukanova in the XXX International Scientific and Practical Conference «Documentation in the Information Society»

On April 18-19, 2024, the XXX International Scientific and Practical Conference «Documentation in the Information Society» was held in Moscow, organized with the support of the Federal Archive Agency (Rosarkhiv), the All-Russian Research Institute of Documentation and Archiving (VNIIDAD), and the Russian State University for the Humanities ( RGGU), Russian State Archive of Scientific and Technical Documentation (RGANTD) and Russian State Archive of Literature and Art (RGALI).

Deputy Director of the National Archives of the Republic of Belarus E.A.Stukanova took part in the conference.

More than 400 participants were able to exchange experiences and discuss problematic issues of document management and archival science. The conference discussed the development of the conceptual apparatus, the regulatory framework for archival affairs, the introduction of information technologies, including the use of artificial intelligence, acquisition, ensuring the safety and use of archival documents, as well as personnel training.

In addition to Russian scientists and practitioners in the field of archival science and records management, the conference was attended by representatives of Belarus, Italy, Kazakhstan, the Sultanate of Oman, Turkmenistan, Tajikistan, Uzbekistan, etc.

E.A.Stukanova made a report «Acquisition of the National Archives of the Republic of Belarus at the present stage» within the framework of the section «Current issues in the science and practice of archival science». The conference participants were interested in the experience of Belarusian archivists in accepting electronic documents for permanent storage, organizing work with non-governmental organizations, and collecting documents of personal origin.
