On April 19, 2024, the State Archive of the Vitebsk Region held the next workshop for students of the Faculty of Humanities and Language Communications of Vitebsk State University named after P.M.Masherova

The event was held as part of the republican action «Archives for School» and the pilot project «Young Archivist», as well as in accordance with the cooperation agreement between the archive and Vitebsk State University named after P.M.Masherova.

The chief custodian of the archive’s funds Konstantin Karpekin told future specialists in the field of museum affairs and the protection of historical and cultural heritage about recording and ensuring the safety of documents and funds, demonstrated the main accounting forms, and introduced them to the conditions for storing documents in one of the archives.

In order to acquire skills in identifying archival documents, students worked with a guidebook and case inventories, as well as with the «Name Lists» database.
