On conducting a sightseeing tour at the institution «State Archive of Public Associations of the Mogilev Region»

On April 18, 2024, in the Year of Quality, the «Archives to School» event, employees of the institution «State Archives of Public Associations of the Mogilev Region» conducted an excursion for 1st year students of the BIP-University of Law and Social Information Technologies, specialty: international law.

The leading archivist of the department of use of documents Bryuzgina Svetlana spoke about the defense of the city of Mogilev in July 1941, about the genocide of the Belarusian people during the Great Patriotic War and introduced students to documentary exhibitions prepared on the basis of archival documents on the topics: «Defense of Mogilev», «Partisan memory», «Genocide of the Belarusian people during the Great Patriotic War».

The head of the department for ensuring the safety of documents and funds Svetlana Bartsuleva spoke about the history of the creation and the main activities of the archive. Also, as part of this event, students were given a sightseeing tour of the archive storage facility, during which guests became familiar with the composition of the stored documents and their storage regime.

During the excursion, students got acquainted with the museum exhibition «History of the Party Archive».
