Schoolchildren’s journey into the world of documents

On April 5, 2024, in the Year of Quality and as part of the «Archives to School» campaign, students of grade 7 «A» of secondary school No. 4 in Kobrin visited the zonal state archive in Kobrin.

During a sightseeing tour of the archive and archival storage, schoolchildren became familiar with the main types of work. We learned about optimal conditions for storing documents. We got acquainted with the exhibitions on display in the archive.

In the reading room, the children were shown a video lesson «Filing files using an archival-binding machine,» thanks to which the students got an idea of how documents are filed.
