BGAMLI: To the 80th anniversary of the liberation of Belarus
On April 4, the year of the 80th anniversary of the liberation of Belarus from the Nazi invaders, employees of the Belarusian State Archive-Museum of Literature and Art attended the opening of the exhibition «The Land of Leonid Levin», organized by the State Literary Museum of Yanka Kupala and the Creative Workshop of the architect L. Levin.
The archivists listened with interest to the curator’s tour of the exhibition. The excursion was led by the architect’s daughter Galina Levina, with whom BGAMLI employees maintain friendly relations. The documents and objects presented at the exhibition from the museum fund, as well as the Levin family archive, emphasized the scale and significance of what was created by the architect Leonid Levin.
Its memorials perpetuate the exploits of partisans, underground fighters, liberation soldiers and honor the memory of the victims of the Great Patriotic War. Its buildings include the puppet theater, the Pioneer cinema, the Lenin Square and Nemiga metro stations, Yanka Kupala Park and the monument to Yakub Kolas and many others. others give hope to descendants for peace and creation.
