The Zonal State Archive in Bobruisk has organized a thematic exhibition dedicated to the theme of 2024 – the Year of Quality
The institution «Zonal State Archive in Bobruisk» stores documents «Bobruisk Garment Factory named after. F.E.Dzerzhinsky of the Ministry of Light Industry of the Byelorussian SSR» (F.1200). State Garment Factory named after. Dzerzhinsky Belarusian Trust for the Garment Industry of the BSSR People’s Commissariat of Light Industry of the BSSR was organized in 1929 on the basis of small handicraft cooperatives that existed in Bobruisk.
In connection with the temporary occupation of Bobruisk by the Nazi invaders, the activities of the factory named after. Dzerzhinsky was interrupted.
In subsequent years, the factory underwent a number of reorganizations and renamings. Currently, since June 29, 2000, the enterprise has the name Open Joint-Stock Company «Slavyanka» of the Belarusian State Concern for the production and sale of light industry goods.
In May 1930, the first issue of the factory large-circulation «Chyrvony Shvenik» was published. Subsequently, from November 7, 1957, on the 40th anniversary of the Great October Revolution, the newspaper began to be published under the new name «Sewing Man». The newspaper wrote about the everyday life of the factory, the achievements and leaders of the enterprise. About what has already been done and what still needs to be done to produce high-quality products.
«A MATTER OF HONOR OF THE ENTIRE COLLECTIVE» – with such a loud headline the newspaper issue dated July 12, 1973 was published. It became known that two products of the factory – women’s coats made of synthetic fabric, models D-126 and 11501, were awarded the State Quality Mark.
The factory began producing products with the State Quality Mark in 1973. The factory team carried out systematic work to expand the range, improve the consumer properties and appearance of products, labeling and packaging, and increase the production volume of certified products.
In total, 13 models were certified with the State Quality Mark between 1973 and 1975.
In 1976, 7 models were certified for the State Quality Mark.
In 1977, 3 models were certified for the State Quality Mark, including coats made of crimplene and denim, and raincoats made of mixed fabrics with polyester fiber.
In 1977, 13 models were sewn with the Quality Mark and 77.5 thousand units were manufactured.
Such results were achieved thanks to the systematic and purposeful work carried out at the factory to improve the organization of production and labor, introduce new equipment and technology, unify structural principles and parts, improve the artistic design of products, use new fabrics, and introduce an integrated quality management system.
One of the most important tasks aimed at increasing labor productivity and improving the quality of products is updating and replacing outdated equipment.
Products with the Quality Mark were marked with special labels of improved quality and packaged individually in plastic bags and then in boxes.
The materials of this fund contain certificates and protocols of the state certification commission for assigning the State Quality Mark to products.
Of great interest in these materials are the original Certificates of Registration of products awarded the state quality mark, as well as confectionery cards.
The confectionery card contains the name of the product, model design, samples of fabrics and accessories.
All materials can be viewed during the thematic exhibition in the archive.
