Events for the Day of Unity of the Peoples of Belarus and Russia

On April 2, 2024, on the Day of Unity of the Peoples of Belarus and Russia, representatives of the Zonal State Archive team in Kobrin took part in the rally «In unity is our strength!», which took place in the park named after A.V. Suvorov.

As part of the «Archives for School» campaign, students from 7 «A» secondary school No. 1 in Kobrin visited the archive, for whom the archive staff conducted a lesson dedicated to the Day of Unity of the Peoples of Belarus and Russia. The schoolchildren were shown materials from regional newspapers in the archive’s service area about this holiday, the history of which goes back to 1996, when on April 2 the Treaty on the creation of the Community of Belarus and Russia was signed, and exactly a year later, on April 2, 1997, the Treaty on Union of Belarus and Russia.
