On March 26, 2024, a meeting of the Academic Council of the Belarusian Scientific Research Institute of Documentation and Archival Affairs was held

At the meeting of the Academic Council, reports on the implementation of planned research work for the first quarter of 2024 were considered. Reports were made by the leaders and responsible executors of the topics: I.V. Lyutarevich, S.E. Kupriyanov, I.A. Goncharova, A.V. Tananov, A.A. Nedashkovskaya, L.M. Tsymbal, E.P. Dernovich, E.V. Shumskaya, V.S. Pozdnyakov.

Considering that the President of the Republic of Belarus A.G. Lukashenko declared 2024 the Year of Quality, when considering the reports, special attention was paid to the quality of the work performed – both from a substantive and formal point of view.

The results of developments on all planned scientific topics received a positive assessment. Based on the results of the discussion of scientific problems, recommendations for further work on the topics were developed.

Additionally, at the meeting of the Academic Council, the issue «On the development of unified requirements for the preparation of organizational and administrative documents and their standardization» was considered (speaker – V.A. Barbarchuk). During the discussions, the participants of the meeting of the Academic Council came to the conclusion that it was necessary to revise the current state standard of the Republic of Belarus STB 6.38-2016 «Unified documentation systems of the Republic of Belarus. System of organizational and administrative documentation. Requirements for the preparation of documents», a number of provisions of which came into conflict with the norms of the new edition of the Instructions for record keeping in government bodies and other organizations, which comes into force on July 1, 2024.

Considering that examples of the design of details and individual structural elements of document texts were excluded from the new edition of the Instructions for Office Work, it was also considered necessary to speed up the preparation of the draft Methodological Recommendations for the practical application of STB 6.38-2016, filling them as much as possible with specific practical examples that meet the requirements of the new edition of the Instructions.

At the final part of the meeting, issues of commercialization of previously completed research topics were considered, specific deadlines and employees responsible for commercialization were determined.
