Filming of the documentary «Vasil Bykov. Choice» at the site in BGAMLI

March 22, 2024, within the framework of the cooperation agreement between the Ministry of Justice of the Republic of Belarus, the Department of Archives and Records Management of the Ministry of Justice of the Republic of Belarus, the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Belarus and the Directorate of Social and Political Broadcasting of Channel One JSC at the site of the Belarusian State Archive-Museum of Literature and Art The shooting of a documentary film took place under the working title «Vasil Bykov. Choice», dedicated to the 100th anniversary of the birth of the outstanding Belarusian writer and playwright Vasil Bykov.

BGAMLI employees assisted in the selection of thematic material for the film (scripts based on the works of V. Bykov, photographs of the filming process, screen tests of artists, etc.) and took part in the filming of the plot.

The film will tell about the most significant works. Particular attention will be paid to the most famous film adaptations: «Alpine Ballad», «Ascent», «Long Miles of War», «Sign of Trouble», «Until Dawn» and others.
