Visit of representatives of the Faculty of History, Communication and Tourism of Grodno State University. Yanka Kupala in the Belarusian State Archive of Film, Photo and Sound Documents

Head of the Department of History of Belarus, Archeology and Special Historical Disciplines S.V. Omelko and head of the Department of Journalism I.I. Minchuk visited the Belarusian State Archive of Film, Photo and Sound Documents. The purpose of the trip was to collect material for completing assignments within the framework of the interdisciplinary project «Genocide of the Belarusian people: memory and pain of the Grodno land», which is being implemented at the Yanka Kupala State University of Grodno on the initiative and with the support of the Prosecutor’s Office of the Grodno Region.

The collected material will be used to prepare a documentary film about the genocide of the Belarusian people and an exhibition dedicated to the liberation of the Grodno region and the territory of Belarus from the Nazi invaders.

During a working meeting with the leadership of the Belarusian State Archive of Film, Photo and Audio Documents, issues of cooperation in scientific, educational, educational areas, interaction on the distribution of students in the History specialty were discussed. Guests of the archive were given a sightseeing tour of the archive with visits to departments and the archive storage.
