Ceremonial transfer of copies of archival documents
On March 6, 2024, a ceremonial transfer of copies of archival documents by the director of the National Archives of the Republic of Belarus Andrey Konstantinovich Demyanuk to the deputy head of the Educational Institution «Center for Training, Advanced Training and Retraining of Personnel of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Belarus» to police colonel Alexander Alexandrovich Palchinsky took place in the presence of cadets and teaching staff. This is a significant event for preserving memory. The transferred copies of documents are dedicated to the Great Patriotic War: personal files of Heroes of the Soviet Union Vasily Korzh, Maria Osipova, quantitative diagrams of undermined rails on the most important railway lines, defense schemes, documents on the organization and combat activities of partisan detachments, illustrated magazines on the history of the emergence, organization and activities of partisan brigades, drawings by artists – partisans of the Great Patriotic War.
The transfer of unique archival documents was initiated by the Ministry of Justice of the Republic of Belarus as part of a major effort to preserve historical memory. The formation of patriotic feelings and consciousness based on historical values and understanding of the role of our country in the destinies of the world, the development of a sense of pride in our Fatherland, is one of the main tasks of the Ministry of Justice, the Department of Archives and Records Management of the Ministry of Justice of the Republic of Belarus and archival institutions of our country.
During the event, the director of the archive focused the attention of those present on the tragic pages in our history, on the relevance and need for preserving historical truth and memory for our contemporaries at the present time and for future generations. The head of the Center expressed gratitude for the documents provided, which will take their rightful place in the museum exhibition and will contribute to the patriotic education of young people in modern conditions of falsification of historical truth.
