Visit by students to the zonal state archive in Kobrin

On February 19 and 20, 2024, as part of the «Archives for School» campaign, eighth-graders from secondary school No. 3 in Kobrin visited the zonal state archive in Kobrin.

On the eve of the Day of Defenders of the Fatherland and the Armed Forces of the Republic of Belarus, archive specialists conducted lessons for children «About the heroes of bygone times…» and «Heroes of the Great Patriotic War». The schoolchildren were shown archival documents of Great Patriotic War veterans Commandant S.A., Maslovsky I.P. and Sviridyuk N.T., included in the collection of documents of personal origin. The students were especially interested in the memories of veterans, their order books, certificates for medals, photographs and congratulatory addresses.

At the end of the meetings, sightseeing tours of the archive were organized with a visit to the archive storage.
