The Central Laboratory paid tribute to internationalist soldiers
Today, February 15, 2024, the Republic of Belarus celebrates the Day of Remembrance of Internationalist Soldiers and the 35th anniversary of the withdrawal of a limited contingent of Soviet troops from the Democratic Republic of Afghanistan.
The meeting of employees of the state institution «Central Laboratory for the Preservation of Documents of the National Archival Fund of the Republic of Belarus», dedicated to the Day of Remembrance of Internationalist Soldiers, was opened by the director of the laboratory V.L.Klyuiko. and gave the floor to the chief engineer of the laboratory Vitushko V.A., reserve colonel.
Vladislav Anatolyevich shared with the audience the history and reasons for the introduction of a limited contingent of Soviet troops into Afghanistan, and also assessed and drew parallels between the modern geopolitical situation and the events of those years.
At the end of the event, laboratory director V.L.Klyuko drew the attention of colleagues to another upcoming significant event – the Unified Voting Day, on which deputies of the House of Representatives of the National Assembly of the eighth convocation and local Councils of Deputies of the twenty-ninth convocation will be elected.
It was noted by those gathered that none of the employees will remain on the sidelines and everyone, taking advantage of their constitutional right, will indicate their strong civic position in this event, because the vector of development of Belarus in the coming years will depend on its results.
