Employees of the Zonal State Archives in Rechitsa took part in a rally dedicated to the Day of Remembrance of Internationalist Soldiers and the 35th anniversary of the withdrawal of Soviet troops from Afghanistan

On February 15, 2024, in Rechitsa, at the memorial sign to Soviet internationalist soldiers, a rally was held with the participation of veterans of the Afghan War of 1979-1989, the leadership of the Rechitsa district executive committee and representatives of public associations, enterprises and organizations.

While performing international duty, 7 natives of Rechitsa and the Rechitsa region were killed (6 in Afghanistan and 1 in Syria). Those present honored their memory with a minute of silence and laid flowers at the memorial sign. Employees of the Zonal State Archives in Rechitsa – director Natalya Pishchik, chief engineer Yulia Barashko, caretaker Irina Sadovskaya and leading archaeographer Sergei Zharnosenko – also paid tribute to the memory of the dead.

In addition, during the rally, a sign with a QR code of a memorial sign to internationalist soldiers was unveiled.
