On February 15, 2024, a meeting of the workforce was held at the state institution «Belarusian Research Center for Electronic Documentation»

The meeting was opened by Deputy Director for Research Lyubov Nikolaevna Signevich. In February 2024, there are two important events in the socio-political life of the country – the 35th anniversary of the withdrawal of the Limited contingent of Soviet troops from Afghanistan and the Unified Voting Day – elections of deputies to local councils and the House of Representatives of the National Assembly.

Roman Konstantinovich Pavlovich, senior researcher at the Department of Information Computer Technologies, Candidate of Historical Sciences, told the audience about the Day of Remembrance of Internationalist Soldiers. He spoke about the history and reasons for the entry of a limited contingent of Soviet troops into Afghanistan, about the difficult combat everyday life of internationalist soldiers and called on the community of archivists to preserve the memory of the dedication and heroism of people who were faithful to the military oath and fulfilled their duty to protect the interests of the Motherland.

Deputy Director for Research Lyubov Nikolaevna Signevich reminded members of the workforce about the approaching Single Voting Day for the elections of deputies to local Councils and the House of Representatives of the National Assembly. Lyubov Nikolaevna expressed confidence that all employees will take advantage of their constitutional right and take part in an important socio-political event, the results of which will determine the vector of development of our country for the next five years.
