Quality means safety

From February 13 to 15, Minsk hosts the exhibition «Work Clothes. Occupational safety and health in Belarus». One of the most important objectives of the exhibition is to demonstrate PPE, the entire range of work clothing and footwear, safety and security systems produced abroad, in the Republic of Belarus and the CIS countries.

Taking into account the fact that high results in the Year of Quality cannot be achieved without ensuring safe working conditions, representatives of the state institution «Central Laboratory for Ensuring the Preservation of Documents of the National Archival Fund of the Republic of Belarus» visited this exhibition and took part in the seminar «Topical Issues of Occupational Safety and Health» «, organized as part of the exhibition.

During the seminar, issues on the organization of fire safety, the employer’s responsibilities for labor protection, typical violations of labor legislation, as well as approaches to managing professional risks in the field of labor protection in the Russian Federation were discussed.

The greatest interest among the laboratory staff was aroused by the report of the head of the department of safety and state examination of working conditions of the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection of the Republic of Belarus I.A.Karchevsky, in which, in addition to issues of state policy in the field of safety and working conditions, current and upcoming changes in legislation on labor protection.
