On February 14, 2024, as part of the republican action «Archives for School», the State Archive of the Vitebsk Region was visited by students from secondary school No.42 in Vitebsk named after D.F.Raitsev.

During the excursion, ninth-graders briefly became acquainted with the history of the archive and archival affairs in Belarus, the specifics of the work of an archivist, the publishing and exhibition activities of the archive, and viewed one of the virtual exhibitions dedicated to the events of the Great Patriotic War.

After visiting one of the archives, the guys got an idea about the organization of document storage in the archive and measures to ensure their safety.
