On the organization of the exhibition «The connection of generations will not be interrupted by the institution «Zonal State Archive in Orsha»

On January 30, 2024, the institution «Zonal State Archives in Orsha» prepared an exhibition of archival documents «The connection between generations will not be interrupted…», dedicated to the Year of Quality.

Archival institutions are the past, present and future of our country. We – archives – are not just keepers of history, we are keepers of time. Through archives, almost every citizen of our state can find out the information he needs, touch history and the past. The professional duty and main goal of the work of archivists is to preserve, increase and pass on to society historically significant sources, documents of the past and documents reflecting the modern life of our states and societies.

The work of the archival industry is priceless, because what we preserve and increase will be seen by future generations.

The exhibition presents archival documents reflecting the history of the formation and development of the Zonal State Archives in Orsha: decisions, orders, protocols, staffing schedules, statistical information, reports, documents on awarding the archive, photographs, etc.

The exhibition is addressed to a wide range of people: schoolchildren, students, local historians, teachers and everyone interested in the history and culture of the region.
