About conducting a lesson for students of the State Educational Institution «Brest Regional Lyceum named after P.M. Masherov» in the State Archive of the Brest Region

On January 18, 2024, as part of the implementation of the joint work plan of the main department of justice of the Brest Regional Executive Committee and the State Educational Institution «Brest Regional Lyceum named after P.M. Masherov» for the 2023/2024 academic year, as well as the «Archives to School» campaign, students visited the State Archives of the Brest Region 9th and 10th grades of the regional lyceum.

Employee of the Department of Use and Publication of Documents Krischenko V.O. conducted an open lesson on the topic «The role of archives in preserving the country’s historical heritage». During the lesson, schoolchildren got acquainted with the history of archival work in Belarus, its role in the life of society and the state, and also learned about the main directions of archival work.

The students also visited the archive storage and laboratory for the repair and restoration of archival documents and got acquainted with the exhibition of archival documents «We are going, going, going..». about the development of transport in Brest in the 1940-1980s.
