Representatives of the NGO «Belarusian Peace Foundation» visited the National Archives of the Republic of Belarus
On January 16, 2024, at the National Archives, a meeting was held between the archive’s staff and representatives of the public association «Belarusian Peace Foundation», headed by the chairman of the fund’s board, Maxim Vladimirovich Misko.
Speaking to the archive team, Misko M.V. spoke about the activities of the Belarusian Peace Fund, about the mobilization of funds and efforts of the public to implement programs aimed at peacekeeping, charity and other humanitarian activities. Maxim Vladimirovich noted that the main goals of the Belarusian Peace Fund are strengthening peace, friendship, mutual understanding and harmony between people and nations, promoting and implementing the ideas of mercy and humanism. He also noted the great work to perpetuate the memory of participants in the Great Patriotic War, providing assistance to veterans, prisoners, and disabled people. Misko M.V. spoke about the activities of the Belarusian Peace Foundation in creating and developing a project with the support of the Ministry of Education of the Republic of Belarus «Network of Peace Schools in the Republic of Belarus», the purpose of which is to promote the education of children and youth on the principles of peace, friendship, mutual understanding and harmony, respect for national traditions and religious characteristics of other peoples living in our country, propaganda of national ideology, universal, family, spiritual, moral and patriotic values, healthy lifestyle, strengthening the unity of Belarusian society, providing support to the state in solving social problems.
At the end of the meeting, the Chairman of the Belarusian Peace Foundation, Maxim Vladimirovich Misko, presented the director of the National Archive, Andrei Konstantinovich Demyanuk, with a medal and certificate «Honored Peacemaker» for the great work of the archive team in preserving the historical and documentary heritage of our country, popularizing archival documents in exhibition and publication activities.
