Information hour for students of the educational institution “Brest State University named after. A.S. Pushkin” in the State Archive of the Brest Region

As part of the republican action «Archives for School» and the pilot project «Young Archivist», as well as in accordance with the work plan of the branch of the Department of History of Belarus and Political Science of the Educational Institution «Brest State University named after. A.S. Pushkin» in the institution «State Archive of the Brest Region» for the 2023/2024 academic year on December 19, 2023 with 4th year students of the Faculty of History in the archive building on the street. V. Khoruzhey, 15, an information hour was held on the topic «Archival work: history and modernity».

Head Department for the use and publication of documents by G.D. Kalustov gave a lecture to students about the history of the creation of archives from ancient times to the modern stage, spoke about the system of state archival institutions of the Republic of Belarus and about their main areas of activity, etc.

In conclusion, Kalustova G.D. answered students’ questions about the procedure for independent work in the archive reading room.
