Meeting of the staff of the National Archives of the Republic of Belarus with Ivan Sergeevich Bagramyan

On December 21, 2023, as part of the Unified Information Day, a meeting was held between the staff of the National Archives of the Republic of Belarus and Ivan Sergeevich Bagramyan, the grandson of the Soviet commander and statesman, Marshal of the Soviet Union Ivan Khristoforovich Bagramyan. Ivan Sergeevich spoke about his interactions with his grandfather in his childhood, especially focusing on interesting incidents from his life, and described his personal qualities.

The meeting was also attended by the General Director, member of the Board of Trustees of the Aniv Foundation for the Development and Support of Armenian Studies, Armen Viktorovich Khechoyan. He spoke about a documentary book dedicated to I.Kh. Bagramyan, published by the Aniv Foundation. During the meeting, Armen Viktorovich presented the director of the archive, Andrei Konstantinovich Demyanuk, with the book «Marshal Bagramyan», in turn, Andrei Konstantinovich presented Ivan Sergeevich Bagramyan with an illustrated publication of the National Archive of the Republic of Belarus – «The Fine Art of the Partisans». The guests also got acquainted with the work of the archive in the field of publishing activities and went on an excursion to the repository of funds of partisan formations.
